Humanitarian mission to Minembwe: a gesture of love and hope for children

Minembwe, 21 August 2021 – At a time when the people of Minembwe were going through a difficult period marked by insecurity, displacement and the silent suffering of families, the Founder of the Gisaro Muhoza Foundation, Mrs Beatrice Gisaro Sine, chose to travel there in person to bring a message of peace, compassion and hope.

In this wounded community, where many children were living in uncertainty and fear, this visit was not merely a humanitarian trip. It was above all an act of human solidarity, a helping hand extended to a population that needed to be listened to, comforted and supported.

During this mission, school supplies were handed out to the children to bring back their smiles and, above all, to remind them that education remains a powerful weapon against poverty, hatred and despair. Exercise books, pens and other school supplies represented far more than mere objects: they symbolised the hope of a better future.

The children’s faces lit up this memorable day. Despite the hardships, their eyes still expressed dreams, ambitions and the desire to keep learning. For many families, this presence on the ground was a powerful sign: that they had not been forgotten.

Through this action, the Gisaro Muhoza Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to peace, education and community well-being. For beyond material aid, it was also about soothing hearts, encouraging social cohesion and reminding everyone that every child deserves to grow up in dignity and safety.
