What we will do by 2028
Implementation of Social Cohesion Programmes for Peace and Security
Objective: To promote peace and unity among the various communities in the Province of South Kivu.
Action: Organisation of community dialogues, sporting and cultural events, and collaborative projects that foster social inclusion and reconciliation between community groups.
Mobilisation of Funds from Technical and Financial Partners for the 2025 Actions
Objective: To raise USD 250,000 (709,942,892.50 Congolese francs) to finance the strategic projects of the Fondation Gisaro Muhizi (FGM) for the year 2026.
Action: To hold a series of meetings and negotiations with technical and financial partners, including international donors, non-governmental organisations, local businesses and financial institutions. The mobilisation will include the preparation of detailed funding proposals, the submission of projects in response to calls for tenders and the pursuit of new public–private partnerships.
Expansion of Agricultural Projects and Creation of Storage and Processing Facilities
Objective: To improve farming techniques and increase production, while ensuring sustainable solutions for the storage and processing of produce.
Action: Establishment of pilot farms to test new cultivation and processing methods, and creation of storage and processing centres (flour mills and factories) to strengthen local food security.
Development of Solutions for Access to Drinking Water and Electricity in Rural Areas
Objective: To improve the living conditions of rural populations by facilitating access to drinking water and electricity.
Action: Construction of boreholes, reservoirs and pumping stations. Installation of solar panels to provide a sustainable source of electricity in isolated villages.
Promotion of Local Entrepreneurship, with a Focus on Young People and Women
Objective: To strengthen local entrepreneurial capacity and support the creation of sustainable businesses.
Action: Launch of training programmes for young people and women on business management and access to finance through microcredit or partnerships with financial institutions.
